The third release of this label from our home vineyard, again a true reflection of the site blended in the ratios we took from the land. This is a stellar vintage in my estimation exactly to my tastes, low alcohols coupled with superb natural acidities that bear the hallmarks of elegance. Aged in barrel for a year prior to a winter in tank then bottled without filtration or fining with very low sulphites.
There is energy to this wine which is now only emerging from its youth at 6 years of age. The cool vintage Syrah gifts the wine plenty of spice which elevates the overall intensity of Pinot’s floral red fruits and forest margin. The palate is youthful and finely honed, lively and clean. Expect this wine to build breadth with time. Cellar comfortably for up to 12 years perhaps longer.
